After years of regional gigging, Florida’s Cope is finally heading to the Northeast for a pair of shows tomorrow and Thursday in Philadelphia and New York City respectively. The quartet has gained a reputation for their impressive live performances which weave funk, reggae, bluegrass, southern rock and electronica into their own inventive sound.

Cope’s trip to the Northeast starts tomorrow at The Legendary Dobbs in Philadelphia before moving on to NYC’s Sullivan Hall on Thursday, where they share the bill with Cold Roses, Mission South and Mama’s Love. Alex Borsody of NYC favorites Union Street Preservation Society is expected to sit-in on banjo with Cope on Thursday.

Watch Cope perform with special guest Roosevelt Collier at the 2011 Aura Music Festival…

Following the band’s trip to the Northeast, they will perform at the Wanee Festival in their home state of Florida on Wednesday, April 17th, at 9PM just before Dumpstaphunk take the stage.
