Video: Cat Power – Manhattan

As a New York City resident, sometimes I lose perspective and need to be reminded that I live in the greatest city on Earth. So I’d like to personally thank Chan Marshall for deciding to make a music video for Manhattan, a track that appeared on Cat Power’s 2012′s release Sun. The video is Ms. Marshall’s love letter to the Big Apple, and follows the former East Village resident as  as she traverses the city, across bridges, in subway stations, bars and bodegas, thumbing through records and aimlessly wandering city streets from Chinatown to Tompkins Square Park to Times Square to Harlem.
